Boxermom, what a heart wrenching time for you. I hope you are all OK. I thik I would have been panic struck and hysterical by the time I got to the hospital. I know what you mean about HIPPA sucking.
Californiamom, weloved your letter and no problems abut page hogging. we all do at times and we all read everthing.
Here is the card I am sending Cameron todar.
On the front it says

" I've been doing a lot of texting laetly, only it's a new kind of texting, where you write on paper and send it through the regular mail."

Inside it says
I REALLY think it's going to catch on!

Too cute huh! Now I think we can all identify with that card.

Boxermom-
I am sorry to hear about your sons accident. Thank God he was not injured badly, and is now home with you.
Glad you got a latter from you SR and that he did well & earned a ribbon. That is something to be so very proud of for sure!
Bless your heart! You take care and know that we are here for you any time. ;-)

Good morning all,
I didn't realize I had written so much until I entered it. I apologize for that. Talk about hogging up the screen pages! Sheesh! Again sorry about that. But I know there are several moms on here whom are not receiving letters at all and I just had to share the tiny, mundane details of what their recruit is possibly going through. Even though I receive my son's letters every Wednesday, I still crave to read other recruits letters. {Hint-hint....if anyone else wants to share, I'm a willing reader! lol) My son usually does leave out a lot of details the majority of the time. This is the first, "I miss stuff" type letter that he's written. All his other letters were more "were doing this....doing that...." "Food is okay.....my bunkmates are....." etc.. So this letter was quite unique in that he is ACTUALLY communicating his feelings for us and home!!!! I'm floating on air that he misses us! It just makes me feel good knowing that my little birdie will fly back to his San Diego nest in 5 yrs.
p.s. I'll kill him if he falls in love with a girl in a different state or country! lol LOL ......no....seriously! lol
