I'm thinking a husband probably is more anxious to write than our sons! I could be wrong on that but...

Ok so there is hope for one next week? But i had also heard about the RDC's holding ours up :(
Barry's GF- when did he leave?
Comment by lori on April 16, 2010 at 3:57pm
Karissa- it's to early for letters yet. If they don't even start receiving ours for 7-10 days [ if that] then we won't get anything for at least 2 weeks I'm thinking.
i'm sure like the 'box' as soon as the first letter comes from our PIR 5/27 guys it's gonna be posted on here! Until then we wait :(

My Jake is a talker once you get him started but I don't have a lot of faith that he will write much. And if he does I'm a little worried I won't be able to read them anyhow,,,,,,LOL. I'm thinking his girlfriend will get one before I will but she'll call if she does at least. We live less than 3 hours from GL so letters should get here pretty quick.

Nanon - I would think a supply job would be fun.

I am waiting to hear that you all are starting to receive letters before I even think about getting them. While we can get mail from anywhere inside Maine overnight it takes 5 days to come from Mass. Figure that one out.

Jakesmom-I am hoping it is more like a supply job that could be really interesting.

jakesmom- i like that idea- my son isn't a 'writer' or much of a 'talker' either!
I told him "you better write" or else! So he said "I'll try". And I want details too.
Not just 'hi i'm fine gotta go type of letter'. So maybe if I just write a lot of questions and leave a space he can send it back with the answers. Great idea!

I just got my form letter yesterday, postmarked the 13th and he said they might get to write or call Sunday.

Exactly!!!! Even it's just a short note saying he's surviving.......I teased Jake before he left I was going to make up fill in the blank letters he could fill in the words and send back so it wouldn't take so much thought and time to write. I think I might enclose one in his next letter. If anything it will get a laugh out of him....
Comment by Jennifer on April 16, 2010 at 3:25pm
Ya, I just want to know that he's ok....After the first letter maybe then I can relax a little bit.
Comment by Jakesmom on April 16, 2010 at 3:20pm
Not ridiculous at all....we are all starting to feel that way. I'm thinking Jake just isn't writing and if that is the case I'm going to kick his butt.....and then hug him so tight I'll crush him.....
