I would love for all of you to look up the link on Sailor Rescue group. Some of our Angels on Earth N4Ms took care of Lawrence, even going back to the scene of the crime and finding his car keys! Some met him and made sure he got back to ship safely after his hospitalization, and even got some extra clothes for him.
God Bless our families and their generosity.

just to clarify--I am relaying information about a sailor who was injured for another Mom. Upon reading it, it is confusing. Of course, we ALL claim the sailors as our own, don't we?

Here is an update on our sailor in New Orleans--just to let you know some other Moms have already stepped in to help--bless our angels on earth

My Son was robbed at gun point and shot Saturday night in New Orleans. He is set to leave on the ship in the morning going to Norfolk for a week and then they will head to New York for Commissioning and he could use some cheering up. He lost everything, one of the 2 pairs of pants he had, all his money his checking and savings accounts are gone and we had to replace his phone. They took his car keys too so he will have to get his car towed to a dealership when they get to Norfolk to get a key and have it reprogrammed...any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

We have a sailor who stepped off ship in New Orleans to experience their food. Instead, he was shot in the leg and is in the hospital. Please pray for Lawrence, and his family who also experienced a loss of a different family member.

Dear God, I come to you with a small request that Allen will finally receive his hard copy orders for Dog Handler Training School for November. He has so been looking forward to this and the Navy has verbally told him that he is going, but is dragging out the paperwork as ususal. Please watch over Allen, Luke and all the other military personnel and families keeping them safe and healthy. Guide and direct each of us to do Your will. I also ask that You will bless me with the job that You intend for me in Florida and bless my finances while dealing with no job or income. Thank you Father God for allowing us to come to You with each and every concern and request. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Dear God
Thank you so much for the safe travels to California for our nephew's wedding. We are blessed he has added such a wonderful caring woman in our lives. Thank you for the tears and joys as we missed his Dad so very much and seeing my brother in my nephew. Thank you for all the family who could attend and for the happiest of reasons to be together.
Thank you also for the great flight crews we had in our wild and crazy, fast paced weekend.
May God continue to bless Jason and Camille.
Amen

Hi all,

I haven't been on here in a long time! I've missed being here, but have been really busy. I am now the Senior Adult Pastor and Pastoral Care Director at our church which keeps me going.

My daughter and her husband have made Yvonne and me new grandparents for the first time - a grandson who they named Jacob Benjamin. Fortunately they live about half an hour from us so Yvonne makes sure we go up to see him every week.

Our ministry to the military also continues every weekend in Virginia Beach. We're actually waiting for some of our sailors to come over this evening. Praise God, isn't life fun! :)

And, oh, by the way, we are also babysitting a green parrot for a neighbor friend of ours. What a hoot that is! If we walk out of the room he says "Come here." We're trying to teach him how to say "praise the Lord." If we walk out of the room he will sqwak litke crazy! Yvonne will put the towel over his cage and you hear this little voice say "oh oh." Then, as we walk away he'll say in a tiny voice "Heeelp. Heeelp." Then he quiets right down.
