Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

For new members - last year we held a Sailor Rescue List virtual baby shower for an expectant mom whose Navy husband was on deployment in Afghanistan and made it home on leave just after she was born. Members here shopped, sewed, packed and mailed all sorts of cool stuff prior to mom Misty's due date. Here's "our" Abby then, and now!

Reminds me that until my son went overseas I paid for an annual AAA membership for him every year (Christmas present!), even though he had roadside assistance with his car insurance. He did use it a few times, including towing when a water pump went out, and installing a new battery after deployment. $53 for me + $29 for him = extra peace of mind :)

I got a text that he was at a fellow sailor's uncle's house, had dinner and a place to sleep. He sounded really relieved to finally be there. Thank you all for the calls to Sam. It really set his head straight and put him in better spirits.

Mom, you could look for a hotel - my guess there is probably one near a Wal-Mart and use your credit card to get him a room. He did say that he would be fine. My family is about three hours away from him.
