The Navy Gateway is $27.00 and I could not afford to go otherwise. Plus,
just a moment ago, we got Orders!
Maureen, myself and lots of other people thought our sailors were going to be firemen when we found out they were FC;s because it is short for Fire Control. Then found out its the weapons systems and the person in charge of the computers or "the firing" of the weapons. When they study radars and dopplers, one girl in our fc/et group went on to her C school in MS for meteorology. Arn't we proud of our sailors?!

Maureen, Navy Lodge was full for 4th of July for me but was able to book me for the first half. However, the Navy Gateway was never mentioned to me as an option and wanted you to know about it, its on Coronado Island South. Congrats to him for his GL graduation.

Josie please take some pictures and share them with us. Have a wonderful time. Thanks to my very best Navy mom friends, I found a room so cheap, I can afford to go to San Diego to see my son's C school graduation - well over a year after his PIR! I am excited also. He will be a honor graduate. Adn since I can't wear heels anymore (knee, back, hips, LOL!) I have some great low heeled slip ons! But I imagine I'll be wearing tennis shoes most the time.

Marti, congrats on seeing your sailor this week-end.

Our state farm had discounts for everything. Good grades, perfect attendance. They give you a CD, let your kids view it, and take the test also. Military, etc. Josie, I was born in St. Louis, are you familiar with the area around St. Charles Rock Rd?
Sue, tell them to stay away from National City and the miles of "crooks". Long story.

Goodmorning everyone. I am not sure if anyone has seen the news yet this am, but a heclicopter went down around midnight off the coast of San Diego (near the Coronado Islands). Our thoughts and prayers go to those families and friends of the servicemen/women.

Carol, if I have helped one sailor to not get "took" by the crooks - it was worth all those boring posts you had to read.

thanks for the tip Sandra. I'm thinking there should be a group called Sailor Beware to let them know about these things. Not that we havn't told them already, they get in such a rush and do impulsive things (not unlike ourselves when we were their age) or am I just speaking for myself, lol?
