aileen3mc, no, they do not. You can see if there is a loved one of another Sailor who is going who can send you pics or ask your Sailor to have someone take pics for you and he can email them to you.

Can anyone tell me if they post pictures of each of the graduates? My son is graduating this Friday

Mike803, enjoy the time with your new MA. That is great that he is stationed so close.

It has been quite a journey for our son. His boot camp PIR was 05/24/2013, which we were thrilled to attend and his MA School graduation was just last week, 07/26/2013. He is now home with us for a couple of weeks and we are happy to say that, after a couple days, it is just like he never left. It so just so very good to have him home again, even if it is just for a short while. The best news yet, for us, is that he will be stationed at Patuxent Naval Air Station in Southern Maryland, which is only 80 miles from our home. We are thrilled that we will be able to visit him and that he will be able to come home as often as his schedule allows.

My daughter arrived today. She had PIR yesterday. So excited to be able to communicate with her again. I have read the breakdown week by week and learned quite a lot. Are there any others here that have sailors newly arriving? I hope to learn a lot from the this site.

samiamsmom, welcome. Yes, you will be able to. She will let you know when the best time would be after she gets there. Be sure to check out Break down week by week above to let you know what happens at NTTC Lackland (San Antonio). You will also want to join MAA Moms.

I have a DEP member leaving for BC on the 16th of July, with the next stop MA A school in San Antonio.  Since I live only about 1 1/2 hours away, will I be able to visit once she is allowed to leave base?  I mean, can I come on base with her and see where she is living and training?  Also, so glad to see the familiar lemonelephant, good to see you!

Proud Navy Parent and others, I have revised Break down week by week. Let me know if anything is not correct based on recent experience. I am especially interested in the info on Quals and phasing up since that has changed some over the last few years, but I want to keep the discussion as current as possible, so all areas are open to revision if something has changed.

I was the same way. They can have all there electronics right off the bat. My son had me send PS3 games controllers and such. We gave him cell at airport. They are confined to base until after week with OC spray. They get day liberty after that in uniform. About week 5 they can start having there comfort clothes I sent my sailors a little early to make sure they were there for his first weekend liberty he was able to wear them. SA was wonderful. We stayed at the Ramada it was close enough to everything. The graduation ceremony was very informal. But we'll worth being there for.
