Question for the Veteran Mom's- Do the Sailors have access to like a common Area that would include a microwave- or like a kitchenette with a stove/sink?- want to start gathering some of my daughters faves to send once she is in SA

Help. I got a panicked call from my son at 5:30am (mountain). He was having shooting pains in his back during PT. He told one of the higher ups and got yelled at for trying to get out of PT. My son is not typically a complainer. He called me last week and said he was aging some pain after doing "fireman carries". He is NW very afraid they might separate him for this. Is that possible? I think he just needs a quick chiropractic adjustment and he will be fine. Is that an option?

My sailor is now in San Antonio and waiting to start school.  He's loving it so far.  He said he's talked to several people there that are either in school or recently graduated and looking forward to being an MA.

Well my SR is in San Antonio looking forward to starting school. I couldn't be more proud! PIR was an experience and am so glad I got to attend. I started bawling when she walked in and I could see her the whole time from where we sat. I am a proud momma of a Navy Sailor!

tashaalexiona, you won't know when your future Sailor heads to San Antonio until you get the PIR date.  I see that your future Sailor is scheduled to leave for BC on 23 July, so join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in July.  You will meet others with loved ones leaving that day/week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together. By arriving at GL at that time, his PIR should be either 09/20/2013 or 09/13/2103.  You won't know until you get the form letter and things could change if his ship date is moved.
