lemonelephant I feel like I may be looking into a job feild as a vacation planner, this is a adventure in itself...LOL  I will be happy to post our "adventure".  We are trying to budget our trips due to wanting to visit our Sailor often and so we have done a great in depth study of the route and area we are visiting. I am learning to use the internet sites such as deal chicken, group on living social, trip advisor and many other sites to find "cheap" deals. I think we have done failry well. We also plan on visiting some of the places we thought about staying to have an idea ourself encase we go back to that area.

meling21, LaQuinta Inn is very close.  We statyed there last summer for my Sailor's "C" School Graduation.  It was OK.  It was not the cleanest, but that was due to a last minute check-out and them trying to go ahead and let us in.  See the discussion above Graduation Info for Lackland AFB - Navy MA graduation;  Places to s....

Didn't stay there. We stayed at the Best Western about a mile from the Main Gate last May for Chris's MWDH graduation.
