snowmanmom, I have heard of individuals being moved to another class for failing at various points, but not the whole class.

We are trying to budget another trip. our Sailor told us they will not know for sure if they graduate until the Wed. before his date.  Does this happen often that the date they are given they dont graduate?  I think he said that if one messes up the whole division is set back?  We are hoping to go but....

My son just arrived at A school yesterday. I am so happy or him! After seeing him at PIR, I felt like the weight was all lifted off and I could see how happy he was now and his shipmates were extremely funny. Was wonderful to see him excited to go on to A school, and so much less crying on my part too. He called today and sounded like my upbeat, funny son. Worry has officially left my house replaced by joy!

Snowmanmom - I replied to your message as well.  I'm glad I could help.  My son is very happy in MA school and I'm sure your son will be also - a more freedom, great training, new friends and, eventually, a little time off base.  My son says they help the newbies get settled in every Sunday, so they have met by now.

lemonelephant, lorik, jessica1028  I want to Thank You all for the peace of mind I had when I saw my son off to TX.  You ladies talking to me and explaining things was so helpful!  I really feel better than I thought.  Graduation was beautiful and all that the website said to help us plan, the day of and attending the gradution was GREAT!!!  I am truly blessed to belong to this Navy Family!!!!  Bless each of you!!!!    My Sailor landed in TX last night and has a few hours off today and hopes to start school Monday.  I have told him all about you and as much as I could about your Sailors.  I hope they meet.  Again Thank You so much!!!

FYI

-----------
For those who mail to FPO addresses, here's some new info:

Mail uses new address format for military
The U.S. Postal Service recently mandated that all letters sent to overseas military installations be addressed with a nine-digit zip code, starting this month. The policy change came with an upgrade to the Postal Service's mail-sorting system and the opening of an additional centralized gateway for receiving and shipping government mail.
The new mail-sorting system will enable mail to be delivered and sorted quicker by giving the sorting machines another way to divide the mail. The new address format will include the box number as a four-digit number at the end of the zip code.

For example:

John Smith

PSC 999 Box 82

FPO AE 09622-0082

For more information, visit the post office website at www.usps.com/ship/apo-fpo-guidelines.htm (http://www.usps.com/ship/apo-fpo-guidelines.htm) .

The last time I was there we used Mac Trans (210-670-8855) and it cost us about $20 to go from the base to the riverwalk.  Which is way better than the first time I was there, that guy charged us $45.    Mac Trans was pretty quick as far as picking us up as well.     Good luck and have fun.

That just makes no sense at all to me . Ha.. Well is there a taxi service that you would recommend ? Or I there a bus system? I know they have buses on the base that they take.
