Yes joj, there is a school in Gulfport Mississippi, that is where my son was at, some 4 yrs ago.
Must be where she is going. She just said Mississippi.
Yes, in Gulfport- my son is there now.
My son is there too. Will be graduating around 10/19.
Does everyone seem to like it there?
my son is loving it. We are from the North, so he had to adjust to the humidity.
yes, it is the homeport of the Atlantic Seabees, as the signs indicates at the main gate. it also has numerous schools and trainings offered there. My daughter just completed A School, and is now attending Combat Training.
My son has been in Gulfport for a few years. He hopes to get orders to stay after he returns from this deployment. He lkes it there.
Our son just finished his Combat school and has reported to h is battalion in Gulfport. He's very happy there and raring to go...whereever that might be!
Thanks for the replies!!
After PIR and before the Division leaves from the airport, will anyone be changing clothes?
Our son left a few days after his PIR. He had to wear his dress whites on the plane. And during leave, they are required to wear their uniforms...whichever ones they are told to wear. There are supposed to be officers out in civies watching for SR's not abiding by all the rules during leave after PIR. Breaking the rules can cause them to get in a lot of trouble...just something to keep in mind. In our son's group, several of the girls returned to the base late and their leave was revoked for the entire weekend. Not worth breaking the rules.
