I was directed to this group by some other great Navy moms because my SR was in the hospital recently for mono and I was told he would most likely be moved to this RCU ship/division during recovery. Does anyone know how I confirm whether he is there or not? The last contact we had with him was a week ago when he was still admitted to the hospital. No one has heard from or about him since. Having him gone in the first place was difficult enough but then to hear that he was hospitalized for over a week and then....nothing...(chirp chirp chirp) is driving this SR mom nuts!!
Any helpful information would at least let me stop pacing the floor like he is a newborn again!!
CWMom..I am so sorry. It is truly tough enough for them to be in BC, but when they are sick or injured is multiplied many times over. My heart aches with you. I will keep you in our prayers. I am not sure about the process when they are in the hospital, but once they get to RCU you should get a 30 - 45 second phone call with his address information and the reason he is there. Our son broke his leg and was in RCU and therapy for a little over 7 months. If you are worried to the point you can't wait any longer, you can call his recruiter and they can check on it. I have heard of other moms doing that. Keeping you in our prayers. Please let us know how he is doing. Hugs and Prayers, Susan
Thanks Susan...this site a a life saver
