im so happy to have found this group! hi everyone! my husband was suppose to graduate feb 8th but passed out during the running test because his lungs were so bad. he got sent to hospital so i flew out asap to go see him! he failed the test again soon after returning to boot camp. so now he is in therapy because his lungs were only working at a 25%! this is so overwhelming and upsetting. but i want his health to return then focus on the tests. I'm sure your loved ones are all worried about passing. i just want him to see his son asap. he left when he was only a month old. thank you for this group i hope all of you loved ones get better asap!
also does anyone have experience with how it works one they actually finish battle stations? do they get a ceremony? is it true they get 2 liberty days?
jacintaaradanas...I am so sorry to hear about your husband's illness. Are you still with him? I am not sure how it works when they have an illness like yours. Mine was a broken fibula and it was a very long recovery. 7 months. When he was cleared for duty, he went through battle stations was capped after 2 and 1/2 months and that was it. He was able to come home for a week, but had to return for physical therapy and was finally released in May. This journey all began in Oct.
It sounds like all he had left was his final run and then battle stations. If so, he will probably just finish like our son did. It is different for every SR.
Keep in touch. We will keep you in our prayers.
wow that was a long recovery! he made it though! that's great. thank you for the info!
Praying for you. Let me know how he does.
