cja...I have only heard reports that the 909 Div. is getting calls tonight. They seem to be leaders of this PIR. They received letters before us and some already received calls home. So, please don't get your hopes up about a call tonight. But if the 909's gets calls, it may mean that are calls will come within the week. I don't want you to be crushed tonight. I've also heard that these calls come anytime day or evening. So, I've told my son to call my cell.
So I am keeping my fingers crossed today. have seen a lot of people have gotten mail in the last couple of days. also that phone calls may be coming.? I hate to think that I will be sitting on top of the phone tonight and nothing happens it will break my heart ugh! My daughter graduated from BC from the Air Force in October and her first phone call was 2 weeks in of course all I could do was cry!! Good Luck to everyone with letters and possible phone calls! :)
Sound advice...will adhere to all commandments:)
I'm pasting a post from Lynne - She's a "Senior Mom" on the site. As we close to our phone call time, its good to know this:
Lynne: I am adding a new commandment all so listen up...lol...if in the next week or two you happen to get a call from the boot camp and you miss said call...DO NOT call the number back under any circumstances...I can see where you would want to and I would be very tempted to...however one mom did call the number back...explained who she was and that a call had come to her home from that number. Now that sounds reasonable right??? Yikes..."don't ever call this number again" was the response and her son and his division was beat unmercifully for it. In addition, every time the phone rang for the rest of the boot camp guess what the RDCs asked...yep you got it...wonder if that is so and sos mommy calling to check on him. So..moral of story...new commandment...thou shalt never call the RTC to check up on your recruit even if you think you have a very good reason...there is no such thing as a good reason.
Good Friday Morning! Here's to a great mail day to all of us whom haven't received a letter this week.
Love you. too:)
