Letter today. She sounded so happy and was telling me about the captains cup and she also said rumor is the will get duty free weekend so no having to stand watch over the weekend, I guess they still have to do that? Does anyone know? I hope everyone else got letters today too!

She is an OS. My friends son just finished the hospital corpsman, he really liked it. Her school is only 9 weeks then on to wherever. Some place warm I'm sure she is hoping :)

Today is the day! Battle Stations. Brad said all was good in the letter I received yesterday, said he couldn't wait to go to Pensacola though for the warmer weather, said it was -7 the other day! said something about them or some of them having watch on Saturday, so don't know what that will entail for our weekend with him, but I'm sure it will all work out have a great day all, and hope you all receive mail that didn't yet this week.

Best of luck to our recruits tonight as they become sailors!!! I lit my blue candle, said a prayer, and even put on my penguin socks (my SRs fav thing)...now just to wait for that most anticipated call....the anxiety is building....I'm sure we will all be on here as soon as we hear something....

Got some mail today.  Looked like alot but she sent me most of the letters she had received so I could put them in her binder....thought all those envelopes were for me...lol.  She says she hasn't been getting many of my letters so seemed a bit disappointed. Hasn't been feeling well but fighting thru it. Today is their last PFA.  Monday was gas chamber...which she seemed very excited about. Says BS21 is the 27th 20:00 and to be prepared for her call the next day. I've already told my husband the cellphones are our #1 priority fri-sun...lol.

Well...hope more get mail...can't wait to here more news!
