Moms let me tell you, the RDC's in RCu are the best.

My daughter was to PIR on Friday and on Tues. she was taken to RCU as she dropped in her final run. She had an infection (2 cysts) that spread and started through her body, she said she noticed them, thought they were shaving bumps that were just not healing. They had to remove one and have it sent to the lab. The second they just drained. The others (they were not considered cysts yet) were just treated and she was given 2 strong antibiotics.

Once over that, she had a jaw issue start from stress. She would have PIR'd on the 13th on Aug 2010, instead she finished Sept 28th. She made great friends and is now on deployment. It can be done and they work the SR's toward getting better.

She had a friend from the div across the roomin there with her, she is now based with her. So they would ran around all the time, until deployment that is.

Best of luck to all with SR's in RCU. They work harder than the ones and get the same thing in the end, I look at these kids as fighters, the best to have fighting for our country, they show the determination.

my son had stress fx of his foot and was held back 6 weeks. That was the best case scenerio. He was told probably 8 weeks, maybe 10. The same week he broke his foot I broke my heel in karate. Small fracture- it was soooo painful to bear any weight at all on my foot. I feel bad for her. But, it wasn't so bad b/c I wore an air cast and got around great. They never gave my boy an air cast or special boot for his foot though. I thought it was kind of strange. I hope she heals quickly!!!

Any info is always welcomed :) The only good thing is that her bunkmate got held back earlier in Bootcamp with stress fractures in her legs. They are very good friends. So that makes my heart feel good.

Oh my! One week to go... Well the heel doesn't sound too bad??? They do take care of them! Let me know if you would like me to send you more info about what we've learned...not a lot I'm afraid...but...

My daughter has a stress fracture in her heel. Just got a phone call from her letting me know she is at RCU. Perhaps 6-8 weeks to heal. Always an adventure :) She was to PIR this Friday.....

Angie and KC's mom, I am hoping the "no news..."

I'm sure he'll call home as soon as he can...

so, we wait, and wait...

Thanks Again for the info, ideas, and SUPPORT!!!

That makes sense that he is still with his division. They let them have a 1 minute phone call home (approx.) to let the family know the day the are moved to a new division.  No news is ALWAYS good news!!

We got a short letter from Justin yesterday (still no phone call), sounds like he's still with 09/014 as he bragged about a perfect 5.0 score on the “zone inspection”, and his division’s 4.88 PFA (physical fitness assessment) that other 09/014‘s had mentioned. He wasn’t able to do the “live fire training” as he’s on crutches. Still says he feels like he "has let us down”...so I sent another letter assuring him that HE HAS NOT!!!
He says the x-ray (on the stress fracture in right leg) wasn’t “definitive”, so he was to go to VA Hospital on Thur 11-10 for a “nuclear bone scan”…ugh…He still thinks he won’t be able to come home for Christmas (as originally planned). Rebecca and I will go to recruiter tomorrow and see if we can find out more, if we still haven’t gotten a phone call.

There is a family member who has pictures of her visit with her SR last Christmas. She was able to visit. She is also on this group. Maybe she will read this and be able to enlighten us. (Proudsistah!!)

KC'sMom, Thank you so much for the info and ideas!
We've been trying to keep him encouraged,
but we still haven't been able to talk to him...
maybe tomorrow! Thanks Again!
