My son came down with pnuemonia last week on top of his injury. He called Sunday and said he is doing better. He is hoping to be back into a division by September 2nd. Maybe light at the end of the tunnel?

I send my son's mail to ship 6 Div 2341 and he seems to be getting it. Your other mail will catch up.

I started writing to the new address as soon as I found out he was moved to ship 6. So for over a week, I've been sending mail to this address.

The address I've been sending to is Ship 6 Div 298. That's the address I was given. And that's what's on my sons return address. Do you think that's the problem, do I have the wrong Div?

It took my son a couple of weeks to get the forwarded mail. They have recruits in charge of the mail delivery for the divisions so they have to handle the mail plus their regular boot camp stuff. It will get to your recruit eventually but just keep writing to Ship 6 Div 2341 then the other mail will catch up.

I recieved a phone call from my son last night, he said he hasn't gotten any mail since he's been at ship 6. He's been there a little over a week now. I have written him every day, and several other people have sent letters alo, so it's frustrating that he hasn't recieved any mail from anybody yet. Does anyone else know if their recruits have recieved mail and how long it took before they started to recieve it?

Yes, I have the address? Do you need it and if so can I post if on this site?

Awww your son is keeping my bf company! LOL! We'll get through this together. No worries! Do you have the address to send mail yet? I called and spoke with Legal yesterday (not where I needed to be but I got some good answers).

Unfortunately that link Pat left is for Ship 5, so it doesn't really help, but it's a good place to go if things change.

My son was also in ship 7, div 283. Has been at RCU for about a week. I cancelled all my plane reservations, hotel, etc. for PIR this morning. Cried while I did it! Sorry to hear about your boyfiriend JD's Angel. I kept up with the postings on the Aug. 20 PIR group. We have to be strong for them!
