MattsMom -- hi! glad to see there is some life in this group, even if we are both new haha

How exciting that your DS just got there today.

I may be asking you things -- like i'm curious about phone service & cars and what housing is like ....

Hi Jn/Jf Mom. My son just left yesterday; landed today in Signonella. We are trying to figure this out as we go. I'm hoping once he is settled and takes a look around he'll be able to figure things out quickly. He has a sponsor that contacted him about 2 weeks before he left so at least he had someone meet him at the airport and "take care" of him! I'll post more when I learn more!

Is there anyone from this group still around??  Our DD will be getting moved to Sigonella sometime this summer.  I have some questions, but also would be interested in just being in touch with someone else who has a loved one there.

My son got his orders for Sigonella. It doesn't seem to say anywhere how long he will be there. Is there an easy way to tell?

Hi, my son just left this morning for Sigonella. Was wondering if anyone could tell me what the rountine is for mailing stuff to him? Do the customs forms go inside the boxes? Any tips on sending his stuff? He packed up five boxes before he left, handed me the address and filled out the customs forms, now it's up to me.
