Hi Cathy! Sorry to hear about your dog, went through that not too long ago, but decided as an empty nester not to get a new pup. I remember those days though!

HI Judyann, I had a lovely Easter with family. I arranged with my sailor to get on Skype, and we had the most fun half-hour as he got us caught up on his activities (he's in the midst of field medical training). He looked great and is so happy! How's your son?

There's something so sweet about it. My son keeps his hair a lot shorter than this sailor, though! Sorry to hear your weather has been so awful. We're on our third straight day of high 70's and blue skies; this is why folks move to Scottsdale! Baseball training in full swing, too.

I went to my first meet & greet a few weeks ago, a lot of fun and a pot luck now planned for March. My son's first time at sea is coming up later this year, I can't wait to hear what THAT's like ;) I walked around the USS Wisconsin in Norfolk, can't even imagine negotiating something like that at sea. The MAS project really was like therapy, we had a lot of fun at Target & the Dollar Store!

Quiet group! Maybe because we're single parents and a little busy? Just checking in to say Hi, see how everyone is doing. Cathy (Martyzmom), I like your use of 'retail therapy!' I just packed care packages for the Molly's Adopt a Sailor project, sent to a unit in Iraq, that was fun. Now they're aiming at the saillors in Haiti with care packages and letters. What's everyone and their sailor(s) up to?

Hi all, just thought I would check in, haven't been on in awhile, finalizing my plans to to go see my Sailor and celebrate his 20th birthday in P'cola, He is doing well and I am actually doing well in my "emptynest" as well. Just the thought of the reunion sends chills up my spine. Hope all of you and your Sailors are doing well also.
