I'm a happy mom! Got to talk to my SR twice today!!!! It has been a great Thanksgiving. The only thing that would make it better was if I was able to see him in person. But that will come in one more week when I see him at PIR!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so excited I can't sleep. My Sailor is tucked away in bed just down the hall. I almost want to go peak in the door like I did when he was little to make sure he's ok. Lol

This will be our first Thanksgiving without one of the kids. Our son was home for 2 weeks and left last Thurs. for Japan, not sure when we'll see him again but it should be a great adventure for him. He will be on the USS George Washington. Not sure yet what he'll be doing as he is an undesignated Airman. Happiest of Thanksgivings to all of you and your sailors!

Attending our sailor's graduation was absolutely wonderful and well worth the trip.  To see the looks on the sailors' faces when they saw they families was so touching.  Our sailor won't be home for any of the holidays.  We're meeting some family and friends at Luby's, and we ladies are tickled.  Actually, we think the hubbies are, too.  They don't have to put up with the frantic preparations.  Have a wonderful day, everyone.  We have the best country ever and the bravest and finest military ever to be thankful for.  God bless.

Good morning ladies!  This morning myself and my youngest son will be flying to NJ to spend Thanksgiving with my step daughter, her husband and the 2 grandbabies. My husband is already there.  He flew up there on Sunday.  We all come back home this Sunday and then next Thursday it starts over again, only next time we will be flying to PIR!!!! I'll be checking in with you later today after we land. Take care ladies and have a great dayl!

Deep in the baking season here in Houston - it has been fun to watch my daughter take over some of it- and she is really doing a great job!  My older daughter gets in tomorrow - the only thing missing is my Navy man....sigh.  But he does get to come home Dec 28 - so I will be making an extra Christmas dinner and an extra Thanksgiving dinner for him!

ProudNavyMom - very exciting time for you - you will love PIR!

Congrats to all the moms having some time with their sailors!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Signed up to have 2 Army soldiers over for Thanksgiving and also acquired 2 Navy sailors in A school in San Antonio at the last minute!
