Hello All Texas Moms, My daughter left for BC 11/14/11 from Dallas. Is there any East Texas Moms? I went to Dallas to see her sworn in and I was able to keep myself together but the drive home was the hardest. When she went off to college it was hard leaving her behind but I knew I would be able to talk to her soon as I got back home. When she arrived she called but the call was less than a minute. All she said was I made it and the next time you will hear from me will be in three weeks. Needless to say I just lost it and cried myself to sleep. If there is any Mom's that had a child to leave 11/14/11 please contact me.

Just heard from son---somewhere in some ocean!  He has received his birthday package!  Good thing since today is his birthday. wish we could see him, but it won't happen until next spring!

Started making casseroles to go with Thanksgiving dinner today.  Running out of freezer space and large dishes!  :)  Grateful we can buy food!

Got to talk to my sailor today. I love when the calls come. Glad you got to talk to yours Debschnell, also. Are you wanting to do the Old Town Spring shopping?

Brenda Sue ---I tried several times to vote in the Pepsi contest, but I can't get past the jumbled letters to verify that I'm not a "robot".  Duh --- got any hints?

Queen --- My sailor has been in since August 2010, and the tears will still come.  Yesterday, I was walking through the house and was suddenly hit with the most strong need to talk to my boy, and by the time I got to a phone, it was ringing.  It was him!  Later, I was cleaning out an old purse, and there were his Lactaid I always kept with me, a teary little moment.    My husband is even touched by those little moments.  As long as it doesn't overwhelm your life, just go with it.  It helps.

Donna, we are planning on a trip to Spring at least.  My son will be home until Dec. 2 - so it will have to be after that if I am to go!  PLEASE wait for me!!!!
