Brenda Sue I don't know what she has planned for Thanksgiving but I do know that several have posted that the bases go all out on the food for a traditional Thanksgiving meal for our sailors.

I know a GREAT mom in Everett - I'll see what her Thanksgiving plans are.  Matt's mom - do you know what she usually does for Thanksgiving?   (I'm pretty sure you know who I am talking about).

My son is on the USS Ford headed back to Everett WA. I reside in El Paso and we will be taking in a soilder from Ft. Bliss for Thanksgiving. Does anyone know if they do this in Everett because this is my sons first Thanksgiving away from home.

Happy Thursday, actually my Friday since tomorrow is a holiday.

Happy Veteran's Day, thank you all for your sacrifice and service!

Well it looks like my sailor won't be coming home for Thanksgiving :(

He finished TAD and moved into his shop and there won't be enough cover in the shop since others already had their chits approved ahead of him.

Dilemma on whether to take Thanksgiving to him and other buddies or not.....last minute trip?!?!?!

Pepsi Refresh Project Silsbee Texas

I read in our local paper today that a project here in my town is trying to win a grant through the Pepsi Refresh contest.  If you can help out by voting for the project that would be great.  Click on the link and it should take you right to the page where you can vote.  You can vote once a day from each email that you register with Pepsi for this project.  Voting ends November 30.

It is easy to register your email with Pepsi all you need to do is just fill out the information and setup a password then they will email you so that you can confirm that the email address is correct and you are ready to go.  They require you to register and confirm because they were having problems with the votes being cast from a computer and not by an actual person.  Don't know exactly how it works but some votes were being cast by a computer to run the numbers up for certain projects.

kathy: I really wanted to do something for sailors at A school in San Antonio for Thanksgiving dinner, but it looks like nothing is really offered to them.  Yesterday I signed up to have some Army over to my house for Thanksgiving.  Hope they enjoy a home cooked meal and I will try not to talk non-stop about how I love the Navy!
