Well, my Sailor is back in Charleston. I have not cried about him leaving! LOL! He will get to come home again for Christmas! YAY! He wants to see all of the family, so we will probably let him fly into Houston and we can visit with everyone there, then go to San Antonio before we come home. Now we are waiting to find out the time frame of how long he has! Woo Hoo!  Brenda72 hope you didn't get hit with the really bad weather. It split around Dallas, we hardly got any rain at our house. Sbarber, thank you for the hug!

I will be driving to San Antonio either Wednesday or Thursday of Thanksgiving week to pick up my son for Thanksgiving.  He is going to bring 2 of his sailor friends home with us for the weekend.  I wish I could bring more, but my car won't hold any more!!

Justinmom: would you like the # for these sailors that will be in holding company ?

Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio does not have any type of "Adopt a Sailor" for Thanksgiving dinner.  However, the base does have a program for Army service members.  If you are interested, call 210-221-5481 and let them know.  You have to pass a security clearance and then they will give you info on having 2-4 service members join you and your family for Thanksgiving Dinner!
