Hello 9699mom

I believe everything is on track since I didn’t get a call telling me otherwise. He needed to catch up on some tests due to getting behind ( had pink eye).  I start getting nervous then I am reminded that it’s him that needs to push through :) worrying will only make it worse.

Im so happy to hear about your son and can’t wait till PIR.  Omygosh has it been! Everyone here is incredible and so understanding. Thank you

Hi Dianne from El Paso - welcome to this group.  So excited about your upcoming PIR.   Everything still on track?  The ceremony is just amazing and emotional.  My son was sent to Bahrain in October and he is loving things there.  This has been such an education for us all.  Have a great trip to see your new sailor.

Hi y'all!  My son left for boot camp on November 15th.  He is in Division 070. I received my first letter on Wednesday! He is keeping up a good attitude.  His letter said that the dentist wants to remove his wisdom teeth. I would imagine that would be rough to do while training. Anxious to get a second letter to see if it delays his graduation any because of any downtime from the procedure.

TxMom...I hear u. There's extreme joy seeing their faces at the airport... But oh does it feel terribly heartbreaking to watch them leave again. A rollercoaster of emotions is what we ride as a Navy family.  Hopefully it will get easier. If and when she gets deployed, it's BC all over again. With no communication for 3-4 weeks. That's why we learn to appreciate every moment with them n every call hearing their voice. May Good bless your daughter n your entire family. Navy Mom Strong

My daughter has been home visiting before reporting to her duty station but received a call and is have to report a little sooner than expected.  So sad, I know we will be able o communicate a little more since she has her phone but wow this feels like we are sending her off to BC all over again.  I guess with time it gets a little easier.  She is excited and nervous to be reporting and starting her Navy career after OS A school but so sad to see her go again.

@ Proud Mom thanks for the invite, I just saw it but I am about 8 hours from El Paso.  Would have loved to met other Navy moms/families.

Is there anyone whose son left on Sept 6 and is in DiV 434? I am trying to figure out the mailing address.  My son's handwriting is not very good and he has erase marks on the letter from the Navy.  I need to send back the info about graduation.  Please send me a private message on my facebook account (Jen Westerman) with the address. It has a rainbow in the small picture and an orange flower in the big pictures.  TIA
