Hello All - I'm new to this page and to this group and thought I should tell you all a bit about myself. I have 3 kids. My oldest son, a Marine. My middle child (another boy) is my Sailor. He's an…Continue

sharon, how exciting for all!
hunter did send me his orders, however, they are what we have already. so, now, i just need to explain to the student loan people how to read them and what certain terms mean. :/
have a great week, all. happy early valentine's day. <3
Wow....April 16th isn't that far away. Hopefully it will all come together for Steven as I know you have mentioned he wants to get back to the 'civilian' world.
I'm sure you still will be welcome, as they haven't kicked me off since Katie left the ship last year. ;o)
Thank you Kyann!
Yeah, what a game! We were at our oldest son's apartment. He was still talking about the 49er loss the next day :-)
cathy, prayers for your family. sounds like he was a great man, and meant a lot to many! that's the best kind!
we were rooting for the 9ers, bummer, so close!
take care, all!
Thank you for all of your prayers, Sharon.
We are headed to our son's apartment for Super Bowl. Looking forward to spending some time with him and his girlfriend. We will miss texting with Josh. He was at base when Niners won the play off and we all texted throughout the game. It was fun! Some times it feels like Josh is either in the game or owns the team! Such passion! LOL!
Sharon, keep us posted on Steven's departure.
Hello there My Navy Family! As some of you know, it's been a long week for our family as we said our final goodbyes to my beloved Uncle. His only wish was to not be alolne when he passed and we were so fortunate to have been able to give him his final wish. It was a year long struggle with cirrohsis and liver cancer and he fought long and hard, but is now in peace. His wake was truly a celebration of his life. He was an amazing man. He was a teacher for 50+ years, involved in boy scouts, the wrestling team, etc. There were students of all ages - middle school through 60...so many with a story of how he changed their life.
Looking forward to watching the Super Bowl! Go Niners! Happy to hear our sailors will get to watch the game too! I know my sailor is PSYCHED!!!
Take care all!
yes, sharon, guess we all are busy! i am busy at work and just want to "veg" at home, you know, play words... :) anyway, hope you hear soon about the real departure. sounds like a wedding in the works???
i need to get copies of hunter's orders the student loan place so they will continue deferring the start date. plus, i think the military is supposed to pay for some of it. i have his orders from when he was to report to tech school and to sasebo, but there are no dates as to when he is to be non active. kind of frustrating because i think i'm doing way too much and hunter needs to be doing more, but i am trying. UGH
well, hope all are well. in for some VERY cold weather here!!!
Hello everyone.. sorry it has been so busy with my school and work.. I hope everyone is good and the holidays were a blessing. Welcome to new members...... Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Cathyo~he likes Hawaii but it is very expensive. When he first got there, he didn't have a car at first and he was kinda miserable. He had to report to various places on the different bases so that was difficult. Once he got his car, that all changed. ;) He loves to hike all the beautiful places. Your sailor went directly to Japan? Wow. That must have been tough. Mine was in Pensacola, Florida for almost a year before Hawaii so we got to spend a lot of time together.
Thanks for the warm welcome. Our kids are haze gray and underway :)
