Has anyone gone to a ship homecoming? We are planning on going to Hawaii and just wondering what to expect?

I just got a call from my sailor too.  She is doing just fine.  Good to hear from her.  Not much info - but they can't discuss much!  Just hearing her voice was great.

Finally heard back from my sailor. Of course not much information, but at least I know she is OK.

Yes, I love this site.  It really helps talking to other parents/mates/children/etc. that have loved ones on the USS Paul Hamilton.  It is good to know when someone hears something if we don't.  This is my daughter's second deployment.  I will be glad when it is over.  Hope you hear from your sailor soon too.

Thanks for making me feel better. It is nerve wracking hearing about korea then not getting information! I wish I had known about this site a long time ago. One of the people I work with found the site and sent me a link.

Hey maxwell.  My daughter is also a gunners mate on the US Paul Hamilton.  She said that their internet had been down for a while.  But is back up.  She called fromt he ship a couple of days ago to say she was okay, but phone call was very brief.  They are in an area that I don't believe they can communicate right now.  She said I would hear back from her in about 2-3 weeks.  So hang in there.  We should hear from them soon.  I am sure our daughters know each other.

My daughter is a Gunners Mate on the USS Paul Hamilton. Not always the best at sending emails but I haven't heard anything for over a week. Are they having problems with emails?
