CorpMomM-you are right about the the horrendous traffic-takes forever just to go a few miles. The Metro is really great though and the military subsidizes the fare. Although my son has just recently got his 1st new car-so he drives to work more than he should. He uses his GPS all the time.
hi nightnurse613 - my son is also in Bethesda, he arrived on July 13th. he works in the lab. i dont think he really has made any friends either. he said he does like it though. we are planning a trip for spring break of 2013 and we also live in Phoenix, AZ.
Hi Everyone. My son has been at Bethesda for about 16 months now. He works on the Oncology unit. He seems to like Washington D.C. although he is lonely at times. My husband and I went to visit over the 4th of July-never again during July. The weather was so hot and humid-I almost wished that I was back in Phoenix. We had a very nice visit and my son hopes to come at Christmas.
Hi everyone. My daughter just arrived at Bethesda Monday. She will be working in the Orthopedic clinic.
Yes we should have coffee. Let me know when you are in town or coming to town. As a matter of fact, a bunch of navy moms and a few dads are meeting up at the Biltmore this Sunday for lunch, there will be about 30 of us. Moms from different cities. they have an AZ mom group here on Navyformoms. Until next time,
Maria
