Have a great time Donna & Moms!!!  I'm going to see if my husband would like to go (i.e. drive me!!).  It is a bit iffy since his mother had surgery last Friday.  I get to remove the bandages tomorrow, but she is a very needy person...  we'll see.  I'll call you Donna if we are going to be able to make it.  [Fingers crossed!]

Just a reminder that we'll be meeting this Saturday (13TH)  3PM  at Vazzy's of Shelton.

We have about 5 Navy moms and a few Navy dad's going.  If anyone else would like to join us we'd love to have you!  I need to give Vazzy's a head count by Thursday so please email me if you'd like to be included.  To the mom's I already know about if your plans have changed please drop me an email.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

What is more fun than a trip to Disney World??

A southern New England Packing Party!!!!!  (Well, almost...  lol)

I am still looking for input as to which date is best for the majority of Moms.  Please consider helping with this adoption!  Response has been slow from everywhere & these sailors working in Combat Support Hospitals really could use a boost to their morale.  Just imagine the trauma and death they have to deal with every single day!  More than any ED/ER in our community hospitals for sure. They need some encouragement from US.

If you can't make the party perhaps you can send a box or 2 (or more) on your own?  Thank you everyone!

April 27th would work for me, will be away the 20th.

We are taking a poll as to which date is most convenient for the majority of Mms for our regional packing party.  It will be held at Harrington Hospital as before.  The 2 dates we are considering are April 20 or 27.  Please leave a comment as to which date you would prefer.  The time will also be the same as before 11:30A to 5P with the understanding that we may leave earlier.

Our boxes will go to the staff of 2 Combat Support Hospitals in the sandbox.  There is a total of 100 people.  More info to follow in a discussion above once we set the date.

I have to call Joan back next Friday with our choice of date.  If you would just leave a comment as to which day is most convenient for you that would be great.  Looking forward to meeting you all in person!!

Thanks Donna.  Let me know what day you decide on.  I hope you can make it to the luncheon!

Donna, thank you for reminding me!  I didn't get a chance to call about a room yesterday, but I plan to do it right after lunch time.

Comment by Donna on March 25, 2013 at 7:13pm

Hi Donna,

I don't think the 13th is going to work for a few of us that have planned on going to the Luncheon in Shelton.  The other days would work.

Sound awesome, count me in!

Good Morning CT Moms!

I hope the sun is shining where you are.  Here it is a very weak sunshine and lots of thick gray clouds.  But it doesn't smell like snow - so maybe we're going to get a spring shower?!  Hope so.

Question for all of you:  I have talked with a couple of MA Navy Moms about another Southern New England packing party.  The consensus was a resounding YES.  I polled them for dates and ended up with 3 separate Saturdays:  4/13, 4/20, 4/27.

They all agreed that Harrington Hospital was a nice central location - an hour from all the state capitals.  I will call and see about booking a conference room again & find out what dates are available there.

So, shall we do it again??  The group being adopted by Molly's Adopt A Sailor (aka MAS) for April is a first.  We have never adopted a group like them before.  I'll give you a hint ... there is a connection to MAS ~ Special Hugs.

I'll be getting back to you soon with the dates if Harrington can host us again.
