Hi prayforthesailors!!  A packing party is when a group of Navy Moms (aunts, g'mothers, daughters, etc.) get together bringing items to pack care packages for forward deployed troops.  We usually do packages for whomever the "adoptees" of the month are for Molly's Adopt A Sailor (aka MAS).

Molly's Adopt A Sailor is one of the groups in Navy for Moms.  Official packing parties for the adoptees of the month have their shipping costs paid for by MAS.  It is a fun group, if you are interested in joining.

We had our 1st combined Southern New England packing party in December.  The moms came from CT, MA & RI (who responded, but then couldn't make it).  It is a great way to meet fellow moms and make friends with women who really get what it means to be a military family.

Hello Moms, I am new to CT Navy Moms. I was wondering what a packing party is???

@ Marlene, could you do Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, MA -- right off Rte. 84?  We can plan a date around you if you'd like.  How about the 20th??

I think I read you are going on a missions trip.  Where are you going?

Our church was talking about one this morning, but I'd have to have some major improvement in my knee and hip.  But, maybe...?!

Anyone in CT interested in doing another packing party for southern New England??  I know who the Mom of the Month for April is & I know she will be wanting to make it as successful as possible.  Let me know what you think.   packing party will need to be in April and location is up for grabs.  I didn't make it to the Dec. 1st party at Harrington Hospital because of knee problems, but if I'm not mistaken, didn't you have a good turn-out there??  I'm certain that we could get space there again.  What are your thoughts?  HELP...
