Thankyou Debbie! My son is to arrive there within a week.

Trishblues- my son has a car there but hasn't been able to drive it b/c he has to register it there first. He lost his title so he is waiting for a new one in the mail. That has taken a month so far. So, he hasn't ventured out a whole lot unless it's with his friends.

Debbie- I love the idea of the crabs, BUT.... the last time we brought crabs with us it was only to W. Va and our car smelled like crabs for a looong time!. My younger kids don't like crabs and complained the whole drive there and back. haha. I think we are going to drive though b/c we are going for his wedding and have gifts to bring. Wedding is in June!!

I'm glad your son likes it. I love the cooler full of crabs!

Hi KC's mom, nice to (cyber) meet you. My son will be arriving there in a couple weeks. What does your son, think so far. I love SW airlines and fly them when possible, thats an incredible deal.

I have a CTI who just got there a few weeks ago. I live in MD. Southwest is having their $59 one way sale right now. It's actually $89 to Atlanta ( from Baltimore ).

Hi all, so glad I found this group! I too was thinking WTH, Fort Gordon? Im glad to see some positive feedback ! My son is a CTT. Does anyone else have a loved one in the same position. I'm hopeful to connect !

Comment by KC'smom on January 18, 2013 at 10:20am

Never been, but being as how my son proposed to his CTI girlfriend (and she is hoping to get Ft. Gordon duty station as well).... I am going to have to pay them a visit once she arrives. I need to get to know my future daughter in law!!  She might have been assigned Ft. Meade duty station b/c she will be land based CTI. But, since she met her knight in shining armour, she has requested Ft. Gordon so she can be with my son. She thinks she will arrive at Ft Gordon around June. Road trip is in order for July! She needs to meet her Future Monster in Law.

Okay, I can officicially join this group  now!! My son is heading to Ft. Gordon this weekend. He gets to meet up with friends finally- hasn't seen them in a while.

@ Debbie in Md..... we are practically neighbors. What do you say- road trip? hahhahahaa. My toyota gets great gas mileage on the highway!!
