Hello Everyone! My Nuke husband will have PIR 6/20/14 and I am wondering if he is leaving on Saturday or do I get the weekend with him? He said that he was told that because he is married he may be able to come home and help me move. Does that change when he leaves?

Thank you!

If anyone has a sailor heading up to ballston spa and needs any furniture or household items, please message me and I'll forward my son's email address to you.  He just got his orders and will be leaving in less than 2 weeks.  He has quite a bit of furniture and other household items that he has no use for.  They were also renting a nice little 3 bedroom duplex that will be vacant as of May 15.  He has a queen size bed frame, mattress and box spring that was purchased last May too.

Posting in a couple of groups. I know that my husband can stay at the school for extended periods of time, but if he wanted to do some studying at home, is there some kind of self help textbook he can buy? He is in A school and starting his electrical fundamentals class today… Does anyone have any study tips for my sailor? He's extremely smart (as are all of the sailors!), but he hasn't found a study technique that has clicked for him. He understands the work it seems, but he has some difficulty with vocab from what it sounds like. Thanks!

I am going to visit my sailor, who is at A school in Goosecreek SC, and I don't know where to stay. Any suggestions on the best hotel to stay at in Goosecreek? Any hotels have shuttles to get me to from the airport to the hotel and to base?
Thank you!

Be sure to check with your local Old Navy stores during the weekend leading up to July 4th...each year, they hold tables where people can send cards (donated by Hallmark) to deployed Troops, and whenever someone purchases certain items they are highlighting, Old Navy will send those items to the Troops as well! My local Blue Star Mothers group will be manning the tables at our local Old Navy stores, so check it out in your areas, too!
