OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Hi all - Happy Wednesday!

WaterLily - yes, unfortunately some of the groups aren't very active.....if you continue to post in them you might get some activity going - don't give up!  Or you can try sending a "message to the group".  That might stir up some new interest!

B’sNukeMom & MarianneKT’sMom,  my son signed as CTN.  I have already joined a few groups that pertain to that but they’re not very active.  Right now, he’s just waiting to class up and phase up.  His A school is about 8 months long.

WaterLily - BZ to your Sailor!  PIR is quite the experience!!!  Glad you had a wonderful weekend ;-D

What's his rating?  There are some different Pensacola groups you might want to join.

My sailor's PIR was this past Friday.  WOW.  Our family had a wonderful weekend and I am truly bursting with pride.  It'll probably take a few days to catch up on sleep, haha.  He is now settling in at Pensacola.

Hi all - Happy Friday!  Had a great time with B&C here in CA.  Grandma had an engagement party for them and we had a great time.  The time went way too fast though.....Now they're back in MI and youngest is now in NE.  The house is way too quiet!

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

B&C made it to CA.  They're off today doing wedding planning stuff.  It's nice having them home even if it's just for a short visit (and lots of stuff to do while here!).
