OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

WaterLily - BZ to your Sailor!  PIR is quite the experience!!!  Glad you had a wonderful weekend ;-D

What's his rating?  There are some different Pensacola groups you might want to join.

My sailor's PIR was this past Friday.  WOW.  Our family had a wonderful weekend and I am truly bursting with pride.  It'll probably take a few days to catch up on sleep, haha.  He is now settling in at Pensacola.

Hi all - Happy Friday!  Had a great time with B&C here in CA.  Grandma had an engagement party for them and we had a great time.  The time went way too fast though.....Now they're back in MI and youngest is now in NE.  The house is way too quiet!

Hi all - Happy Tuesday!

See the source image

B&C made it to CA.  They're off today doing wedding planning stuff.  It's nice having them home even if it's just for a short visit (and lots of stuff to do while here!).

Ah Submom - I know what you mean - I grew up in Orange County, CA and spent summers hanging out at Newport Beach.  I sooooo remember the razor burn.....(but wanted to make sure the legs looked good before heading to the beach lol!).

Comment by SubMom on August 9, 2019 at 10:36am

along with no salt and no sharks - there's also no razor burn! growing up in Pensacola I always regretted shaving my legs right before heading to the beach. Lake water is so much more forgiving ;)
