Thank you so much.I just got a call from my son and his class won't even start for a month. He was real happy though, because  he and one of his buddies are sharing a room.

Greetings from WA state ladies.  I was such a wonderful yet whirlwind time these last few days.  We didn't fly in until around midnight last night.  Our sailor is now in San Antonio and settling in until just before Christmas.  I want to say how nice it was to meet everyone at the meet and greet.  I just wish we would have had more chances to put our sailors faces to each family!  It was a pleasure to meet those we did.  Gotta Love FB for that!  I look forward to keeping in touch.

Hi ladies! Thank you Shuga for making this page.

I am like so many others, my Sailor is going for GM. The GM page is not very active. I hope to find some other moms with Sailors going for GM. I know there were 3 out of 265. Their training is in GL so not much will change for him. We did run him around to the Nex and a few other places so he knows where stuff is...including the Gurnee Mills Mall...complete with Bass Pro Shops...Lord help him not spend all his paycheck in there! lol!

Can't wait to see where and what everyone is doing! My Sailor will be in A-school for atleast 23 weeks, then possibly on to C-school. It will be awhile before he moves on any command. So I will be interested to know all about your Sailor's adventures!

Just fedexed my dtrs phone to her using SN instead of SR.  Seaman .  She found a computer lab where she is at and messaged her address on facebook. She didnt have any details for me though so hope that phone gets there quick so I can get the nitty gritty.

I not only didnt get to go to meet and greet but didnt get to go to airport either.  We had a 7 hr liberty.  Didnt even get out of Waukegan/Gurnee.  But we did find some good eats and had a great visit.  She wanted to go to Target and smell the RETAIL air.

Thanks Shuga for making this group.  I am about to settle in for the long haul.

JuJu I don't know what address but I do know they are not a SR any longer nor are they on that "ship or division".  That was only a bootcamp thing.  Ask your Sailor what their address is, they should know.  My son is at Corry Station in Pensacola and loves it.  I love it too because he can text and call me.  It was awesome meeting you all at meet and greet.  It was a fast and fabulous weekend.  I got home to find out my work is flooded and I'm home today.  The mighty Missouri is bursting out at the seems.

My son went to Pensacola also. His orders are for 45 days, but I've read it can be weeks ( or months) until they class up! I FedExed him his laptop today. He has his phone so he can stay in touch with us!
