Hey guys, So the family members of 950 were very anxiously awaiting our first glimpse of our sailors which you guys were lucky enough to watch perform on Friday (It was their first performance but we're hoping they did well) If you have any videos/pictures of the band could you e-mail them to me at UnchartedRX@gmail.com so I can share them with the rest of the group? Thank you in advance!!!!

Hi Everyone here....I would like to thank everyone for all your advice, words of encouragement, and support to help me get through these past 8 weeks.  PIR on friday was all worth the wait.  Since my son was in the 948 division he worked the graduation and when I worked up to the entrance and to see him standing at the door made these past 8 weeks all worth the wait.  I stayed at the Navy Lodge which was great.  I also used Sarge for all of my traveling needs and he was awesome.  Gave great advice throughout our stay.  I'm sorry for all that could not make it to PIR and any problems that arouse.  The ribbons from Lala were also a smash!!!!!  Thanks again for all your support, suggestions, and answers, I would have never made it through boot camp.  God Bless all our sailors, past, present, and future and to all sailor's families as well.

Thanks Diannep, I told my husband so many times how i wished I'd had Sarges number.....if only !!!! And yes being at PIR and seeing our son really helped, and took my mind of of things at least for a while.

Proud2b, it was great to hear about the 100 year anniversary, the cheers we heard at PIR for that makes it so much more special, Oct 14th would have been my Dad's 75th birthday too, I know he was there with us in spirit. Congrats to all our new Sailors !!!!

PIR was amazing and very special considering our sailor PIRd exactly 100 years to the day after the very first group of sailors that PIRd from Great Lakes.

Michigan so sorry we could not meet up but I believe I did see you in the pool as we were leaving to go some where with our sailor.  Maybe we can meet up in San Antonio sometime.

oh boy, mattsmom.  SO sorry.  I think I will advise ALL ladies in the PIR groups to put "Sarge's" number in their cell phones.  He would have charged you half of that fare from Chicago...but...so glad you got there.  How awful that we all have to deal with hackers screwing up our lives.  I hope that PIR made it "all better", hugging your new sailor!

Well we had an eventful time in Chicago, arrived at O'Hare later than we should have 6pm, instead of 5.40. Got a shuttle over to the car rental, only to find our credit card had been blocked because someone had hacked into our account. Tried to call, but of course no one answered. Ended up having to get a taxi to our hotel, and paid $99, so heads up to anyone who needs a cab. DO NOT USE the ones near the airport. Flash cabs in Waukegan charges $45-50.

We missed the Meet & Greet, which i really wanted to go to :( But on a positive note, it was awesome to be at the Graduation. I am so proud of all our sailors and we got to spend a few hours with our son, went to the Gurnee Mills Mall, holy crap that place is huge. And spent 3 hours with him this morning at the airport.

Had a wonderful time at PIR. Was great seeing all the wonderful new sailors. Wish I could have had more time with mine, but I cherished every moment I did have. Sorry I missed all of you at meet and greet. It was a crazy couple of days! Was nice talking to you on the phone at least Proud2...

Does anyone remember the exact number of all that graduated yesterday?  I think it was 861, but not sure.
