Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Mom is now in a private room after being in ICU for a week...still hard to see her so weak...she is a lady, who even at 83, is NEVER sick, is a natural/vitamin freak, and doesn't even "do doctors." This has sent her spinning but she is making progress..slowly. Dad is well looked after (total dementia) at home with a wonderful group of caregivers that, by the grace of God, I was able to get in place last week with the help of a couple of wonderful friends. So my life is getting more organized now where I am coping better! Thanks so much for prayers!

Diannep, How is your situation with your mom and dad? Still praying for you all. Praying for safe travels for all going to Great Lakes this weekend whether by land, or air! God bless you all and see you Friday!

Congratulations to all sailors who have already passed BS and for all that still have to do it this week My blue candle is still burning for them and all my positive thoughts are going out to them
