We are liking A school better so far, though she hasn't classed up yet. She was able to go to the beach and the mall this weekend, so I guess things aren't too bad.

Hi all. Sounds like we're all adjusting. I'm trying not to be the nosey mom, but its hard. We did get to chat last night. Still hasn't started classes, but going to phase 2 this weekend. I think that means wearing and civies and being off the base later.

We're on the eve of another graduation... God bless our sailors.

Hi everyone, havent been on here for a while. Good to see some of you still checking in.

Has been nice to have more contact with my son but after PIR and so long without seeing him, it was hard all over again!!  I found myself crying again and repeating everything that I felt when he left for BC. But like everything else, things get better with time.

He is adjusting in A school now, but it was hard for him and then of course it is hard on the Mom. ughhhh.

Hope your sailors are all doing well! And all of you.

Yes Christa, some days are better than others.

My sailor is enjoying Pensacola.  Still waiting for additional students before they can start A-School.  In the meantime, she is pulling Duty (all shifts).  Should be phasing up in a few days; then she can wear civilians clothes. Yea!  Have a wonderful day!

aggiemom, it is so nice to hear from my son on a more frequent basis.  I still miss him terribly and some days are better than others. But I'm continuing to take this journey one day at a time.

Hey, WestonsMom!  I think you can buy the electric candles that people use in their windows at Christmastime and just buy a blue bulb for it.  I believe some stores are beginning to put out some of their Christmas items.  So hopefully it won't be too hard to find one.  Hope this helps!
