For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Shermur, you are a great mom! I took the easy route and bagged up an Easter basket and girlscout cookies! She requested momma's noodles but I can't very well bring those! I reread all of her letters so I could make a list of what she asked me to bring.
Teacher mom, too funny! Charge up those cell phones, gps, camera and pack the tissues! Here we crazy momma's come!!!

Comment by Teach on April 9, 2012 at 7:35pm: ATTENNNNNTION!!!! We got this ladies....We can do this ladies...If our SR can make it, so can we. So, chin up, get the work done, and get in that car or on that plane/train and then you can break down. I know it is hard...I'm going through the same things...be WE GOT THIS!!!! Imagine how our SR feel. They are ready to move on to A school and begin another phase of their careers, so they are counting the days just like we are.

So don't think I will get anymore, but you never know..Thank you FTLW was able to see the corner of my SR's head...... Lol anything is good with me... Friday please.........

Comment by shermur (ship 12 div 121) on April 9, 2012 at 6:38pm: missmygirl..I'm getting pretty certain the anticipation is gonna do me in! and there is so much to do...SR daughter has requested my black berry pie (her absolute favorite) and 2 loaves of banana bread (I have to bake all of that on Wednesday evening or very early Thursday morning...do a half day of work and then, pull out of here...OMG!
