We got some good news this week.  My sailor finally got his final orders to Norfolk.  But, inbetween he comes home for 2 whole weeks!  He is looking forward to his next Navy adventure.

Hi Everyone--I haven't been here in quite awhile, but my son is in Pensacola now and will be going to Norfolk from there.  He won't be there in April, so I won't make the lunch, but it sounds fun!

We do have a group of moms meeting here in Jax for lunch one weekend soon.

If anyone here will be in Jax or lives here and would like to come send me a message.

Anyone who lives in the VA Beach/Norfolk area. There is a group of us planning on meeting one day for lunch (shooting for Thursday) the last week of April. I will be there that week for spring break. We would love to meet as many other moms/families etc as possible for lunch one day. If you have a sailor or recruit in that area and they could possibly join us that would be awesome. If you are in that area and would like to join us please let me know. Send me a private message with your name and number. We will keep the time and place in private messages as well. Thanks, Lora

PollyAnna - I know it's hard, but he's not suffering anymore.  Prayers for you and your family during this time - and then prayers also for that grandbaby, for a safe and healthy arrival!  (For both baby AND mom!)

PollyAnna so sorry to hear about your Father in Law, prayers are with you all.

Now on an excited note yea you get to see your kids and wow a grand baby too.  That has to help the spirits.

I figure when things are figured out for Japan then our Seabees will be there to help them.  My Sailor is still thinking what to do while he is waiting for his security papers to get where they are supose to be.  He wants Aircrew and he loves working with the Seabees.... time will tell i guess for all.

He won't find tht out for a year or so.  He's nuke and still in A school until end of May.  After that he has another year of schools before going to fleet.

Musicmom~The funny thing is that he is not attached to a ship.  He is a Yoeman for the Seebees.  So, he will be travelling around the world, but mostly by plane. They are the construction part of the Navy.

When does he find out what his station will be?  Japan would not have been too bad. I don't know about visiting him now though.

ProudMom - yeah!  I hope my son gets stationed there at some point as well because it's only a few hours from us in southern maryland as well.  His dream post is Japan though so I don't know what'll happen.
