Good news on Niko, I wished Casey would do that do, but he's adamant about getting out in June. Might be because of a girl he met, we like her BUT they are already talking moving in together. She graduates college in May, he will start college in August, just worried that they will be on two different paths that might be hard to intersect. He is doing security now, leads in own section, seems to go well and really likes it but just doesn't like the Navy life. I guess I can understand, he wants to be closer to home, just hope like H*** he goes to college and is mature enough now, time will tell. He finally promoted, decided to take the test this time and ranked up. Why he waited so long, I have no idea, I think he was still having a hard time with this not working out like he thought it would from what he originally wanted.
He was home for Thanksgiving, both boys were and they had a horrible knock down drag down fight before he left. Why they still fight, I don't know, jealousy? Casey says that Preston is just too immature, HA! I reminded him of what HE was like at 18. He wasn't home for Christmas again, third year in a row, but we did a mini Christmas before he left in November.
Hope everyone is doing well, I keep up with most of you on Facebook. Love the bond we have, such an amazing group of Navy Moms!
Greetings! Keith "the nuke" was promoted to 2nd class this week. His enlistment is for 6 years, so he's got a ways to go. He is stationed on the Michigan in Bangor, WA (near Seattle, our home) and has yet to go to sea, likely around August, I'm told. He still doesn't know if he will reenlist yet. Seems like many of you will be leaving the group so good luck to all, it's been great knowing you.
Woo HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Casey is back in Bremerton and that means this deployment is OVER!
When does charlie leave? Casey will be in San Diego first end of this month.
