Wow, Keisha this site really hasn't had any action for quite some time.  How was your move to on base?  Is your husband still deployed?

Comment by Carrie1014 on November 4, 2011 at 1:12am
Ok, well we have to actually get the house before we move because this is our first duty station, so I'll tell him to call and give him a list of what I want. We are in the process of trying to get a POA ASAP because we will have about a week from the time he gets home from A school to move before he's deployed.... It's going to be a nightmare. Thanks again!!! Time for bed

Hey Keisha! We are moving out there in about 3 weeks, waiting on written orders, should be in tomorrow or early next week. Husband is deploying right away for 7 months. We are hoping for base housing, can you tell me anything about it? Do you have any idea what the wait times are like? We have a 14 month old so I'll feel more safe on base with my husband gone. Any info on base housing would be great! Thanks!

Hey there, we are here and staying at the Navy Lodge.  Took the ferry over to Port Townsend today. Not bad weather considering it could be raining.   Figured we might leave here a couple days early and stay in Seattle, do some sightseeing, return our car and head to the airport by Tues. morning.  Just not enough time but am thankful for whatever we get.   ; )

How is military housing on whidbey? I have done a little research and I found that I might like victory park townhouses, what is the wait time like for those? Also crescent harbor seems nice but I'm concernec about getting an older home in that neighborhood and I would prefer the newer ones. What are the chances of that and the wait list?
