I'm certainly no expert, but I doubt if she will have to. If you haven't already you may want to ask your question on one of the main groups that is more actively monitored by admins. Especially since she's been in 1.5 years.

NavyMomJeg, I probably have the wrong terminology. When the sailors come out of BC they "work" on getting freedom and liberty at their "A" school. My Dtr has reclassed to Yeoman, but she already has the freedom and liberty since she had been in the Navy for 1-1/2 yrs....will she have to repeat at Meridian?

My sailor's been in for nearly 4 years now. I don't know about the phasing up.

Hi my sailor has been reclassed from CTI to Yeoman after in for over year and a half. Anyone have experience whether my sailor may be exempt from phasing up again when arrives at Meridian?

Hi. My son will be going to A school in Meridian to be a YN later this year.  I know they sometimes have to wait to class up.  Does anyone know how long that has been taking lately.  I also have read here that it is a 7 week course, but it is self paced and some finish faster.  If he finishes faster does he get his orders & move on or does he have to wait for the rest of his class to finish?

I agree, my son just turned 20 and I'm so proud of the young man he has become. Thanks for sharing.

I live in San Bernardino Ca. I am too excited that we see him more than 2 times a year. Last weekend I went to his apartment. It was the first time I got to visit him where he lives. A little odd and a bit of a reality check of how much he has really grown up since he left the house almost 4 years ago.

@theraysmom Congrats on your great news! My son is currently in Norfolk and heading to San Diego in February. I couldn't be happier because we can see him more than twice a year. We too are two hours away. Where in socal are you?
