I am writing to enquire if anyone can recommend an online ASVAB coach (or veteran) for candidates wishing to enlist in the US Navy.
My son (age 19+) is considering enrolling in the US Navy. Although diagnosed with autism the enlistment office are happy to consider him if he can pass his ASVAB test.
Ideally an online teacher with some experience with students who are based overseas.(We're currently in the UK). I am aware of the free ASVAB teaching videos on Youtube. However, my son thrives and gets motivated where there's a tutor, some structure and accountability.
Many thanks in advance for your kind help.
Kind Regards

There is an "ASVAB for Dummies" (nothing personal lol!) book out there that might be of some help. I don't know of any tutors - maybe the recruiter knows of someone?
Also, make sure that no matter what the recruiter tells him that your son discloses his autism diagnosis on his application. DO NOT let the recruiter tell him that "it was a long time ago, blah blah blah, and it doesn't matter". He will get sent home from boot camp and may not be able to reenlist because they will consider it lying on his application paperwork. The Navy doesn't take too highly to that.
It may take longer to get paperwork approved with his diagnosis but it needs to be done BEFORE he ships out! I can't stress this enough.
