Apartments around NAS Pensacola

When my husband was stationed there some years ago, we stayed at Northwoods Apts on Olive Road. I believe they were reasonable for the size and the room layout was not too bad...just down the road from Cordova Mall and Pensacola Junior College. Pensacola is a spread out city...the West side where Corry Station is, is supposed to be more reasonable of an area. Some of the places near the downtown area are not so hot as I remember...anything near the water is higher priced. Gulf Breeze is nice but I dont recall apartments out there. Mall area or the North East side of Pensacola "can" be a bit more in price. I remember a subdivision (again a long time ago) on the west side of Pensacola, I think it was called Old Hickory, it was a cute little sub division and sometimes had reasonable homes for rent. Boy, how funny that I can remember this much and hwo funny that I can't remember more!
