command sponsorship to Japan

Hi! My husband is an E4 and is stationed in Atsugi. I was wondering how long does it take to do the whole command sponsorship process? And is there a college there too that offer foundation classes for nursing or at least LVN? Thank you!

    It can vary, but I've seen as fast as three months, six being usual.  He has to stay on top of it and bother people, and hoepfully his chief/COC push it also.

    Atsugi has University of Maryland and Texas College on base, but their courses are limited.  I very much doubt to can get nursing courses in Japan on base.  Off base, you'd have to be fluent in Japanese, and likely couldn't get into their programs (they do it very differently).

    Email the education office and ask.
