So I know that there are three phases in Pre-Buds that give them more liberty along the way. But I've heard so many other things about liberty in Pre-buds, can someone help me clear up
the way it really is?
I've heard they work from 9-5 and then they have nights off.
Can they go off base?
How do weekends work? Do they get to go off base?
And what are the visitation rules?
I'm going out to visit June 7-12th and I am curious if he will be able to
spend time with him off base and how often. He will be in his second or throes week of pre-buds.
Any information will help. Please and thank you!
I found this back alot of pages. Hope its all curent

(b) Students are required to live in the barracks unless specifically authorized, via their chain of command, to live ashore.
(c) Wearing of civilian clothing is not authorized.
(d) Consumption of alcoholic beverages is not authorized (even if 21 or older).
(e) Uniforms are required at all times except for sleeping.
(f) All liberty (Monday – Sunday) will expire at 2200.
(g) On a case by case basis students will be authorized to attend on-base MWR special events that end after 2200. Barracks staff will advise students of these events.
(h) On base only liberty is authorized during the training week (Sunday - Thursday) and will expire at 2200.
(i) Off-base liberty is only authorized on non training days, including the evening before non-training days, to expire at 2200.
(j) For second shift students on-base liberty is authorized between 0700 - 1200, (Monday - Friday); off-base liberty is authorized Saturday and Sunday; Monday if a holiday. Off-base liberty expires at 2200 following the weekend/holiday.
(2) Advancement to Phase II Liberty. Students may be advanced to Phase II Liberty by submitting a request chit to their barracks’ LCPO once they meet, at a minimum, the following conditions:
(a) Complete the Student Indoctrination curriculum.
(b) Complete all applicable watchstanding PQS and pass an oral board with barracks’ Navy Military Training Instructor (NMTI).
(c) Complete 14 days on Phase I Liberty.
(d) Meet academic passing score requirements and not be behind normal course completion
timeline as outlined by their rate training pipeline’s Master Course Schedule.
(e) Satisfactory military performance; to include no major deficiencies for 14 days (NJP, OIC Mast, etc.), or a declining trend as indicated by negative event log entries (UNSAT Personnel/room inspections, etc).
(f) Be within Navy physical fitness standards at time of check-in to command or passing Body Composition Assessment (BCA) prior to advancement in phase liberty. Being placed on mandatory PT as a result of a failed PRT or BCA will keep the Sailor in Phase I liberty or result in a reduction to Phase I regardless of student status. Command Fitness Leaders will work closely with N3 barracks staff to ensure they are apprised of any failures.
b. Phase II Liberty
(1) Rules for students in Phase II Liberty:
(a) Liberty call will commence upon completion of Navy Military Training (NMT) or at the barracks’ LCPO discretion.
(b) Wearing of appropriate civilian attire is authorized as per reference (b) and will be conservative in nature, meeting all Navy policy and practices in support of good order and discipline.

Most Navy school days start closer to seven in the morning, with muster well before that.
He might also have duty. You can't plan the trip until he knows his duty rotation.
