Michigan Moms (and Family)

Oh, hopefully B&C get plenty of rest this weekend!  They'll need it.  The day is getting so close!

WaterLily - I don't know how much rest they will get.  C wanted her dirt for her garden boxes delivered on Monday.  Well the MI weather didn't cooperate so it got pushed to Tuesday and then finally delivered yesterday!  They spent part of the day moving it to the back yard and her plan is to get it finished up this weekend - and all her veggies planted!  They'll finish moving it today and then let the planting begin.  I told her this might put her in to labor lol!

They had their final ultra sound today - technician told them that Oliver is weighing in at 9lbs 11 oz +/- 8oz!  Boy I hope they are incorrect lol!

Well they just got a call from the hospital telling them they have nurses there now and to head over!  So they are on their way!  Gah this is crazy.......

Baby Oliver was born at 12:05am 5/13/23.  Almost 60 hours in labor but everyone is doing great!  He ended up being smaller than they thought - 9lbs 3oz, but a lot longer - 22.5" long! They were in the hospital from Wednesday until Sunday afternoon.  Talk about exhausting.....I can't wait until we head to MI on 6/10.

Oh such wonderful news!!!  Congratulations on the special little addition to your family!  I'm so excited to hear it went well after the long labor and that everyone is doing great.  June 10 seems far off but it'll be here before you know it.  

I sure hope they got all that dirt moved before they headed to the hospital LOL!!!  

Congratulations!!!  So glad things went well!  You are coming to Michigan on my birthday!

9 days and counting until I get my Oli snuggles!

Hubby and I are in escrow on a condo near our son & DIL's in Michigan!  We won't be moving for a few years (retirement is a bit away still) but we'll rent it out in the meantime. 

So soon I can say I really am "officially" a Michigan mom lol!  Very excited about the whole thing - DIL was hoping we would be moving there within 2 years but I think it will be a bit longer lol.  I'm just glad she's excited for us to move - and I'll get to be closer to my little Oli boy ;-D

Escrow should be closing today on our condo in Michigan.  Now to find a renter!

Heading to MI on Friday!  Can't wait - get to get some Oli hugs and hopefully get the condo/renter finalized.

Supposed to be a beautiful weekend!  Getting hot next week

We're 106 today and 105 tomorrow - then cooling down to the low to mid 90's.  Looking forward to a bit of cooler weather lol!

I can't believe my (not so) little Oliver turned 6 months old yesterday!  He's just over 21 pounds!  Tickets are bought and we are heading to MI 12/29 for a belated Christmas.  It can't get here soon enough.  We facetime often but it's just not the same lol!

Hi all - Happy Monday!

So you all know my DIL is a Veteran and she had our first grandchild in May, well she got a call from the VA office (she delivered through the VA and delivery/hospital was covered 100%) and they were inviting her to a baby shower for everyone who delivered in 2023!  Turns out it was a "drive-thru" shower and they asked if she would rather have a stroller or a pack n play and what size clothes/diapers they want.  They went on Saturday and they literally loaded up the back of their car with all kinds of goodies.  Everything is donated to the VA and they did this for everyone in their Michigan area VA that delivered in 2023!  That is just the sweetest thing ever!  I'll post a picture from my phone so you can see what they got.  And they even got some gift cards, games, a quilt, Boppee pillow, some outfits, bath tub....just so much stuff.
