So they had their appointment this morning and he's not 15 lbs yet...14lbs 9oz and he's 24.5inches long!  And his noggin measures 16inches!

Oli had his 3 month check-up yesterday.  He's 16lb 9oz and 26.25" long - he gained 2 pounds in a month!  Growing by leaps and bounds.  Sleep schedule is much better now too so C is finally getting more sleep at night.  I fly out on 9/1-9/9 - can't wait to squeeze him!

We close escrow today on a condo in MI.  Going to rent it out for a few years and then hopefully we'll be able to head that way closer to retirement.  Something to look forward to!

That’s awesome B!  Oli is twice the size as our Camden!  He is still a skinny tall boy. But happy and healthy.  Talking and giggling and almost sitting up!  Happy to report they did find a sitter at the last minute.   They had a week with no sitter as she recovered from surgery. But mom was able to take Cam to work part time and work from home.   He’s adjusting to the new sitter this week.  
  More baby news! Our second grandson (of 11, 9 girls) was born on Monday!  Short easy delivery for mom this time.  Labor started about 1 am, went to the hospital at 4am and he was born at 9:25 am.  Second babies are so much easier!  Usually. 
 Benjamin (Benny) David  7lbs 9oz.  20 inches long.

Congratulations on the new grandbaby!  The boys need to catch up with the girls lol!

I leave next Friday for MI - can't wait to get my Oli hugs!

the top is my sailor and his now 3 1/2 month old. The bearded man is my oldest son with his now two week old baby boy. 
 I’m happy to report we booked flight to go visit the newest one in SC in a few weeks.  And my sailor and his wife may be able to drive up also!  The cousins can meet too.  Pray it all works out!

Hi all and Happy Friday!

I had a wonderful visit to Michigan and seeing my (not so) little Oli was such a joy!  He's such a big boy - he's outgrown everything, stroller, bassinet, most of his clothes.  Thank goodness I got them a "TushBaby" so I could strap that around my waist to carry him.  Otherwise I don't think I could have done it lol!  He's such a sweetheart.  I also got everything set on our condo - found a renter, she should be signing the lease today - woohoo!  Things are moving along!

I can't believe my (not so) little Oliver turned 6 months old yesterday!  He's just over 21 pounds!  Tickets are bought and we are heading to MI 12/29 for a belated Christmas.  It can't get here soon enough.  We facetime often but it's just not the same lol!

Hi all - Happy Monday!

So you all know my DIL is a Veteran and she had our first grandchild in May, well she got a call from the VA office (she delivered through the VA and delivery/hospital was covered 100%) and they were inviting her to a baby shower for everyone who delivered in 2023!  Turns out it was a "drive-thru" shower and they asked if she would rather have a stroller or a pack n play and what size clothes/diapers they want.  They went on Saturday and they literally loaded up the back of their car with all kinds of goodies.  Everything is donated to the VA and they did this for everyone in their Michigan area VA that delivered in 2023!  That is just the sweetest thing ever!  I'll post a picture from my phone so you can see what they got.  And they even got some gift cards, games, a quilt, Boppee pillow, some outfits, bath tub....just so much stuff.

That is such a worthwhile cause!  Good for them!  It's nice to see veterans honored.

Well, we didn't beat Army but it was still a good game!  We got our Christmas lights up this weekend so feeling accomplished!
