A place to come to for Navy Moms & Family Members who find themselves with an emptynest. A place to share our thoughts..comfort each other and give advice.
Oliver sure is a cutie. A quick update on my sailor - his command was done at Camp Pendleton and he drove across country with his best friend to Maryland. He was home for 3 weeks was pure heaven for me. And now he is in Okinawa, Japan for 2 years. How is everyone else's sailors?
I would love to hear. Merry Christmas to all you Navy Moms.
Tammy Girl - so glad you got 3 weeks with your Sailor! I'm sure it went by way too fast though.... I hear that everyone who goes to Japan absolutely loves it. Hopefully you can visit him in Japan.
My veterans are doing well. I'm actually online watching a zoom presentation as my DIL presents her Thesis Defense this morning!
Her Defense is "Boater and Angler Behavior to Minimize Spread of Aquatic Invasive Species". This is at Michigan State University.
TammyGirl - thanks for the update! Japan was one of my dad's favorite places to be stationed while in the Navy. My former sailor son is now engaged to be married in June. He finished his mechanical engineering degree over a year ago. So fun to see your grandbaby updates B'sNukeMom! Congratulations to your DIL and family. My daughter graduates with her Master's Degree next week in Social Work.
Love the snowman.. super adorable. Hope all you Navy Moms had a nice Christmas... mine was bittersweet, first one without my sailor at home, but had daughter over with her two daughters so super awesome. Can't believe it's almost 2025.

Hi all - I'm back in SoCal. Michigan trip was wonderful, although a bit chilly. Had a great time with Oliver (and of course son and DIL!). Lots of snow when we arrived but by the time we left it was pretty much all melted. Looking forward to May when they head to SoCal. We'll be doing a Disneyland trip for birthdays ;-D
