DEP-Leavin' for bootcamp in February

My daughter left February 4, 2015 - received her box of clothes on 2/10 and the letter yesterday (2/11).  I sent out a 6 page letter to her last night...  PIR is April 3rd. 

My son left 2/3-4, got his box 2/10 no letter :-( I am West Coast, so I am playing the whine card and say I live too far away!!  I hope the form letter help at least get me starting to set up going to see him and lessens the stress I am feeling!

My son left yesterday. We hung out with him at MEPS and said goodbye when he left for the airport.

I got the scripted call at 2000 (2100 Chicago time). I told him have fun and he said "I am". He's always up for a new adventure.

The Facebook page for RTC has random pics up for recruits taking their initial PFA - would that be for SR that arrived 2/10 or earlier SR's?  Anyone have any idea?  I searched and searched but didn't see my son or anyone I recognized from MEPS

my son left 02/10/2015 received his box today.

My Daughter left Tuesday and i got her box today,friday!I was very surprised at how quick it came.

PIR GROUP 04/03/2015 TG 21 is now up and running.

This PIR Group will start with Division 129 and will have the Performance Division 921.

Thanks FireTeamLeaderWife!  I was wondering what the different Divisions were!

Tonya I got my sons  6 days after he left for BC, but I'm West Coast.  It could be they mass ship out several times a week?  I looked for a date on the box, but in vain (perhaps excitement) I got my son's form letter yesterday, which was 9 days after he left.  Yesterday was 2 Fridays (recruiter told me to count 9 Fridays from when he left for graduation) woot woot! We're moving along!

Here are the current PIR groups for the February shippers:

PIR: 03/27/2015 TG 20 - 11 Divisions (119-128 and 920) 4 guests

PIR: 04/03/2015 TG 21 (to be updated; begins with Division 129 and contains Division 921)

I suspect that the 04/03/2015 TG also includes Division 809 and perhaps also 810. If you have received a form letter for either of those divisions, PM me and let me know the division number and PIR date. Thanks.

Has anyone heard from the group with possible PIR 4/10??

My son arrived at boot camp 2/11. I am anxiously awaiting for the package of his stuff to arrive and all the information on his address and graduation. The waiting is making me crazy! 

the waiting for the form letter is agonizing but hang in there... it will come and when it does, you will feel such a relief to finally have some form of contact.  As you will hear, start writing now and keep going.. it definitely helps.  Then you get anxious for the phone call.. each new thing that happens get you one step closer to graduation.  This site is a wonderful way to get through the hard steps during this process.    

The Form Letter arrives an average of ten days after the recruit arrived at the RTC. Average means that some will have it a little sooner and some later. Most have it by two weeks after the recruit arrived. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is or will soon be happening and what to expect.

If you have not yet joined Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), now is a good time to do so (especially if you have a recruit at the RTC) and to begin checking out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) starting with OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (some of you have changes that you need to make--at least change 3; make change 4 if your profile pic includes your future Sailor or recruit) and then Arrival and What Happens at the RTC.

My son shipped out on Feb 10 and have received the box but still waiting on the form letter. I thought he may be in with the PIR 4/10 group. I will be patient. haha

Got the box today but no form letter.  I'm guessing based on the posts here that it comes separately?  

My niece started February 17th.  Got her call late last night she's at the Recruit Center and will write possibly on Sunday and possibly make another call in 3 weeks.  Anyone else with a February 17th date?

My son is too,actually he will be in the air shortly. I am so happy I found this site.
