DEP-Leavin' for bootcamp in May

my hubbys leaving for bootcamp on the 16th! super excited for him, we will be moving to monterey ca after boot camp for his a school...do any ladies know how long it takes to set up the housing situation and how we move out there? we have boy/girl twins who will be 2 right after graduation

Okay , here we go!!   She leaves the 21st for Boot Camp.  Thanks to everyone here, we feel a little more prepared.

Those of you who had recruits report to RTC between..hmmmm, let's be "safe" and say...from the 7th through the 14th  of May, please let us know when you get your Form Letter so we can get your PIR group started.

PIR: Jun 21, 2013 TG 32 - 9 Divisions (229-236 and 932) 4 guests

PIR: Jun 28, 2013 TG 33 - 12 Divisions (237-246, 814 and 933) 4 guests

PIR: Jul 3, 2013 TG 34 (Begins with Division 247 & includes Division 934) *Note it's on Wednesday

My Just left today. Arrives in GL tomorrow. I'm So very proud of him.

PIR: 07/03/2013 TG 34 (TG = Training Group)

This TG will start with a Regular Division of 247 and have a900 Division of 934).

**This is a Wednesday PIR due to the Holiday.

I got my letter yesterday but no box yet.  My son's PIR is set for Jul 3..........can't wait to see him.

WOOOHOOO!!!!   Received our letter today but missed the FedEx delivery due to work my schedule.   My SR is in SHIP4DIV 814.  I will join the PIR group.  For those Moms with the same PIR or SHIPDIV please friend me so we can suport eachother!   I am soooooo proud.

My daughter left yesterday. Got the call at 10:30pm that she made it there. Can't wait to get her address.

My son left for bootcamp today.  I am so very proud of him and thankful for all of the great information Navy for Moms shares.  I have learned so much from this site and have been able to share the knowledge with others.

I'm a bit sad now, missing him, but know that in 2 months, he will be a Navy Sailor.

Hi M&Mmom! My husband just left today as well. Like you I am proud of him and very VERY thankful for this site. Stay strong and Navy on! I hope we see each other at PIR <3 Please tell your sailor thank you for wanting to serve <3 THank you to all of our sailors out there. :)

So I got "the box" today from my SR wooh wooh. and I had no tears I was just so happy to know that from now on I will start to get letters. I hated being in the dark. well my awesome SR wrote me two letters one on the plane and one when he was at the hotel... I'm one lucky woman. so yeah i cant wait!!

lemonelephant, im so excited and so happy to have such a man. its the little things that mean a lot to me =)

I took my daughter to the airport on the 15th.  We waited around from 10:30am until her flight at 4:52pm.  We stayed in the USO's room most of the day.  It was so hard to say good bye to her.  Its been two days now.  I cannot wait to hear from her soon.  I know its not forever, but its so hard when you are used to talking to your daughter everyday 3-6 times a day. LOL I know she will do great, I just wish I could hear her voice today. :/

We received the first letter from our son today, 10 days after his departure.  Set to graduate July 3rd...a Wednesday.  Miss my boy like crazy but I am thrilled knowing he is where he wants to be, doing what he wants to be doing.  Praying for all who have just left or about to leave.  God Bless!

My daughter left for bc this past monday 5/13/13 we received "the box" Thursday and am anxiously waiting "the letter' anyone else's son or daughter arrive on Monday ?

My son left for bc on Wed. May 15th.  Miss him like crazy but so very proud of him!  Anxiously awaiting the box and form letter!  Per his recruiter, he's in Div. 260, ship 13 and his tentative PIR date is July 12th. Any other moms with these numbers/dates?  :)  Thanks for all the good info on this site.  It has been so very helpful to know I'm not the only mom who's an emotional mess! 

allibarwill, even though you have the address and I know it's hard; don't send letters until you get the form letter. See Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I invite you to join that group while you are there and to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) as well. So i just got home and run to the mail box to see if I have a letter from my husband. thinking there would be one because others are getting theres and hes only a day behind there SR. So i get to the mail box and with each letter in my hand that i sit off to the side because its not for him I feel my chest sink more and more. i still havent got a call and i know its because my letter just has not come yet. I know he is wanting to wright to me and will get contact with my as soon as he can. I just am dying to know his PIR date so i can start to book things. and count down the days until I can be in his arms again and be a family again.. I guess im asking if any of you have heard anything (besides the first call) of the may 9 shippers? if so what.

Hi Allibarwill - my son left on May 15th as well, and you are far more informed then we are! 

Hi Shahida.  Will keep your husband in mine, as well.  We had to stop at the recruiter's office on our way out of town (about a two hour drive to the hotel/MEPS) so I was able to speak with his recruiter.  He was super nice and patiently answered all of my questions.  He even gave me his cell phone number in case I had more!  We got very lucky from what I've read.  I'm greatful!  He gave me the graduation date at that time...  he said he was pretty confident that it would be July 12, but that would be confirmed with the form letter.  The day after my son left, the recruiter posted his address info on my son's Facebook page (as promised) for anyone who wanted to write while he was at BC. 

allisa and shahida~  i can't wait to hear if your husband/son may be in the same division/ship!  (and to receive confirmation that the info I have is actually correct!)

My son left on Tuesday, May 14th and we received his last call that night around 9:30. We missed his box delivery (we think) on Friday. It was delivered FedEx and needed a signature. We will have to wait until Monday now. Waiting on the letter with more information and PIR date.

Rosa91 -  My son arrived at RTC on May 9 also.  We received his box on Thursday but have not received his letter yet.  Like you we can't wait to know for certain his PIR date an to be able to write him.

My daughter left the 14th and we still haven't gotten the box. I am thinking it will come tomorrow. She is ship 9 Div 256

We received our letter today anyone else on ship 9 div 255  PIR 7/3/13

My son left on May 14 and I received The BOX today!  It made me so happy to hee his handwriting and his belongings, as silly as that seems!  BTW, there was a minilla envelope in the box, addressed to Great Lakes but nothing was inside.  Did everyone else get this mystery envelope in their box?  I hope so.  Now,  I can't wait to get the letter with his address and graduation date! :0)

teamnelson  yes I had the envelope too and I think it was their paperwork until they arrived at BC and they did not need the envelope anymore.
