Anyone from Florida with a SR who left the week of 12/8/13-12/13/13?

My son is on Ship 03 Div 085, PIR date 2/7.  Anybody elses SR the same?

I GOT HIS BOX!!!!!! it was waiting for me when i got home!!! and he wrote a love note on the inside flap of the box :0)    I miss him soooo much  SOOO glad to have his wedding ring too...

Are they not allowed to keep their wedding rings?

We got the box today.  Yahhhhhhh!!!  It would have come sooner but my son's handwriting made the last number of our zip code look like a nine instead of a five.  Now to get the form letter. We were told that he would likely be in 900 div so we will see. BTW son left on the 10th

so what do the divisions mean??

ChristieMomof3S13D079, wedding rings (a single wedding band) are the only rings that are allowed at the RTC. Some do send them back in the box because the Petty Officers tell the recruits to remove jewelry and send it in "the box" and they don't realize that they could have kept their wedding ring.

DaniGirl695, each recruit is placed in a division (a group of 55 to 100 recruits) for training. See Ship/Division--How it Works.

Laurajo, Hello:) USS Reuben James is Ship 02

Laurajo, the Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 914 is Triple Threat. Division 914 may have PIR on 02/14/2014 or 02/07/2014 if there are two 900 divisions in that TG. You'll just have to wait on the form letter to know for sure.

Laurajo, Even though the address is in the Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, wait on the form letter before mailing any letters. The USS Reuben James is Ship 02. See also Ship/Division--How it Works

PIR: Jan 24, 2014 TG 11 - 9 Divisions (067-074 and 911) 4 guests *divisions not confirmed by the RTC*

PIR: Jan 31, 2014 TG 12 - 9 Divisions (075-082 and 912) 4 guests *divisions not confirmed by the RTC* 

PIR: Feb. 7, 2014 TG 13 (begins with Division 083 and contains Divisions 807 and 913) *divisions not confirmed by the RTC*

Got my sons box when I got home from work today. Hopefully the letter will come soon. Everything is falling into place and the information on this site is so helpful. A lot has happened just like you guys have said(like the legs of the pants still rolled up,lol) Thank you all so much for the encouragement.

i think im flying in wed leaving sunday  or maybe early thurday  not going to let delays or weather make me miss this  then have to wait to get him is stuff at the airport before he leaves for a school and who knows when that will be or where  lol 

My husband I am driving (12 plus hours) and we are leaving early afternoon on Wed to give ourself extra time in case of bad weather.
